Who we are
Amazon Consultants is a leading Kenyan construction cost management firm founded in 1998 as a Partnership and incorporated in 2007. The management comprises of five directors all with a wide range of experience in the construction industry.
Vision: To be the leading firm in the provision of Quantity Surveying & Construction Project Management services in the region and beyond.
Mission: Committed to provision of Quantity Surveying & Construction Project Management services with utmost integrity and professionalism with the aim of achieving optimum utilization of resources in the build environment.

Our Directors
David Gaitho
David has 30 years experience in the construction industry, a seasoned expert in this field having worked both in government and the private sector.
He is a registered Quantity Surveyor with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS), Fellow, Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (FIQSK), Fellow, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), Fellow, Institution of Construction Project Managers of Kenya (FICPMK) and Member, Project Management Institute (PMI), He has served professional associations with distinction as Chairman of IQSK and is the immediate past President, Africa Association of Quantity Surveyors (AAQS).
He currently serves as the Chairman of the National Construction Authority (NCA).
He was awarded the “Lifetime Achievement Award” during the 2019 IQSK Excellence Awards and “Merit Award for service to the quantity surveying profession” in 2020 for distinguished service to the profession in Africa.
David is the current Tecnical Director.
Steve Rukwaro
Steve is a professional of note in the construction industry with over 30 years experience in cost and financial Management of construction projects in both the public and private sectors.
He is a registered Quantity Surveyor with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS), Corporate Member Institute Quantity Surveyors of Kenya IQSK, Corporate Member Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK) and a Corporate Member Institution of Construction Project Managers of Kenya (ICPMK)

Michael Mbugua
Michael is a professional of note with over 30 years experience in the construction industry. He is an expert in building cost estimation, cost planning, cost management and financial management of construction projects.
He is a registered Quantity Surveyor, Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS), Corporate member, Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (IQSK) where he has previously served as Hon. Treasurer and a Corporate member,Institution of Construction Project Managers of Kenya (ICPMK)
Michael is the current Managing Director.
Bernard Mbugua
Bernard is a director in the firm and has over 12 years experience in the construction industry. He has worked on various projects for both the public and private sectors gaining invaluable experience in cost management and contract administration.
He is a registered Quantity Surveyor with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS); Corporate member of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (IQSK) and Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb)
Rachel Patience
Patience is a director in the firm with 12 years’ post-graduation experience. She is a registered Quantity Surveyor with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS) and has varied experience from well established firms in the private sector where she has gained invaluable knowledge in various aspects of running construction projects.
She is a board member of BORAQS, professional member of Women In Real Estate (WIRE) and member of the WIRE Finance & Administration Committee; corporate member of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (IQSK) and The Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK). She serves as the Hon. Treasurer (AAK), and is a member of the Governing Council.
